There are four parts of Medicare: A, B, C, and D. Every part helps pay for your different health care services. Each part may also have a certain cost that you may have to pay. All your medicare costs are determined based on what coverage you choose and the health care services that you use.
A person is eligible to go on Medicare when they either turn 65 or have a qualifying disability that may make them eligible.
A person turning 65 has three months prior to turning 65, the month of your birthday, and three months after your birthday to sign up for Medicare.
If a person is working past 65 you may be able to delay Medicare until retirement or loss of creditable employer coverage.
